What the Role Involves

As an Ekvarta carer, your visits will typically involve:

Spending time with clients — conversation, activities, companionship
Preparing light meals and drinks
Reminding clients to take medication
Light housekeeping — tidying, laundry, washing up
Helping with shopping and errands
Supporting family carers by providing regular cover

We do not currently require carers to provide personal care (bathing, dressing, continence). This means the role is suitable for people without formal care qualifications.

What We're Looking For

Kind and empathetic — you genuinely care about other people
Reliable — clients depend on you being there when you say you will be
Good communication — able to talk to clients, families and our team
Patient — especially with older people and those with dementia
Right to work in the UK
Willing to undergo a DBS (criminal records) check
Own transport helpful (but not essential in urban areas)
