What We Provide

Our Home Care Services

Six practical, compassionate services — each tailored around the person, not a set schedule. Care can start within 48 hours.

Companionship

Reducing loneliness through warm, genuine visits and social engagement.

Loneliness has serious consequences for physical and mental health — comparable in impact to smoking 15 cigarettes a day. Our companionship visits provide genuine human connection, not just a tick-box service. Carers are matched with clients based on personality and interests, and visits often become the highlight of someone's week.

✓ What's included

  • Regular visits for conversation and social contact
  • Support with hobbies, puzzles and leisure activities
  • Reading aloud, reminiscence and gentle mental stimulation
  • Gentle outings — walks, coffee shops, community events
  • Accompanying to appointments
  • Letter writing and keeping in touch with family

✕ What's not included

  • Personal care (unless separately booked)
  • Overnight stays (unless overnight care is arranged)
  • Medical treatment or clinical tasks

Medication Reminders

Reliable prompting at the right times — so nothing is ever missed.

For many older adults, taking the right medication at the right time is one of the most important parts of their day — and one of the easiest things to get wrong when living alone. Our carers provide consistent, reliable prompting that families can trust, with clear records kept after every visit.

✓ What's included

  • Prompting medication at prescribed times
  • Recording that medication has been taken
  • Alerting family or GP if medication is refused or missed
  • Support with blister packs and dosette boxes
  • Collecting prescriptions from the pharmacy
  • Monitoring for visible side effects

✕ What's not included

  • Administering injections or clinical medication
  • Ordering or managing prescriptions independently
  • Adjusting dosages — that requires GP input

Meal Preparation

Nutritious, home-cooked meals tailored to individual tastes and dietary needs.

Good nutrition underpins everything — energy, mood, immunity and healing. Our carers take time to prepare real meals from fresh ingredients, respecting the individual's preferences and dietary needs. Meal times are also a social occasion, and carers sit with clients where possible rather than leaving food and leaving.

✓ What's included

  • Planning breakfast, lunch and dinner menus
  • Cooking in the client's own kitchen
  • Dietary requirements — diabetic, low-salt, soft/purée
  • Cultural and religious food preferences
  • Monitoring food and fluid intake
  • Light kitchen tidying after meals

✕ What's not included

  • Cooking for the whole household
  • Major kitchen cleaning or deep cleans
  • Grocery shopping (unless separately booked)

Shopping & Errands

Keeping life running — prescriptions, groceries and day-to-day errands.

When getting out becomes difficult, the small practical tasks of daily life can become big barriers. Our carers handle errands efficiently and reliably, keeping a clear record of any spending and always working to the instructions of the client or their family.

✓ What's included

  • Collecting prescriptions from the pharmacy
  • Grocery shopping to a provided list
  • Posting letters and parcels
  • Banking and paying bills (with consent)
  • Collecting benefits or pensions
  • Returning library books or collecting dry cleaning

✕ What's not included

  • Making financial decisions independently
  • Handling large cash amounts without a signed agreement
  • Personal shopping for clothing (unless arranged in advance)

Light Housekeeping

Keeping the home clean, safe and comfortable — so life stays dignified.

A clean, tidy home isn't just about appearances — it reduces fall risks, lifts mood and maintains dignity. Our light housekeeping support is carried out sensitively and to the client's standards, not ours. We always ask before moving things and respect that it's someone's home, not just a space to clean.

✓ What's included

  • Vacuuming and sweeping floors
  • Dusting surfaces and furniture
  • Washing up and loading the dishwasher
  • Laundry — washing, drying and folding
  • Changing and making beds
  • Emptying bins and general tidying

✕ What's not included

  • Deep cleaning or professional cleaning services
  • Gardening or external maintenance
  • Heavy lifting or moving furniture

Respite Support

Giving family carers a planned or emergency break — with confidence.

Family carers do extraordinary things — but everyone needs a break. Whether it's a few hours for an appointment, a weekend away or emergency cover when a carer falls ill, our respite service steps in smoothly and reliably. We brief our carers carefully so the person receiving care has continuity and consistency, not a stranger walking through the door.

✓ What's included

  • Planned regular respite visits
  • Emergency or last-minute cover at short notice
  • Full handover to ensure continuity
  • All services the usual carer provides
  • Family updates and communication
  • Flexible hours to fit around family plans

✕ What's not included

  • Long-term care home placements
  • Overnight hospital or clinical care
  • Care requiring specialist nursing registration
